Cincinnati Bearcats Secure Transfer of Wake Forest’s Myles Colvin
The Cincinnati Bearcats have added Wake Forest guard Myles Colvin to Jerrod Calhoun’s first roster in Clifton. On3 reporter Joe Tipton first reported the move Friday.
Player profile and recent production
Colvin is a junior with one season of eligibility remaining. He appeared in 35 games and made 24 starts last season.
He averaged 11.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. Colvin shot 40.3 percent from the field and 36 percent from three.
He began his collegiate career at Purdue. Scouts and coaches praise his hustle and off-the-ball impact.
Role and fit in Cincinnati
Colvin arrives as one of the team’s current perimeter options. At the moment he is the only true guard on the roster.
247Sports lists him as a four-star transfer prospect. He ranks 82nd overall and 11th among small forwards.
Coaches expect him to alternate between shooting guard and small forward. He projects to have a strong chance to make the starting lineup.
How he could help
His scoring and activity give Calhoun more perimeter flexibility. The Bearcats may get more efficient looks for Colvin in the new offense.
Roster moves and upcoming schedule
Colvin joins David Iweze as Cincinnati’s two additions so far. Both players will travel with the team to a holiday tournament this fall.
Calhoun confirmed the Bearcats will play in the 2026 Orlando Events Invitational around Thanksgiving. The non-conference slate also includes games against Clemson, Louisville, Dayton, and Xavier.
The program has nine roster spots to fill. Recruitment activity should increase now that the dead period has ended and visitors can return to Clifton.
