Project Overview
Located in Virginia, the arch will rise in a traffic circle near Arlington National Cemetery. Its position is across the Potomac River from the Lincoln Memorial. The site lies within the boundaries of the District of Columbia.
Design Features
- The arch will feature inscriptions stating “One Nation Under God” and “Liberty and Justice For All.”
- Gold-colored statues of Lady Liberty and two eagles will crown the top.
- Four lion statues will be situated around the base of the arch.

The architectural blueprints for the ‘Arc de Trump’ were created by Harrison Design, a Washington-based firm. The initiative has garnered support from President Trump, who has revealed its design concept over recent months. He emphasized the arch’s importance as a personal project. American taxpayers are expected to finance this project. The National Endowment for the Humanities will allocate $2 million in special initiative funds and $13 million in matching funds for the construction.

This ambitious project has raised concerns about its potential impact on nearby air traffic due to its location along the approach path to Reagan National Airport. The Commission of Fine Arts, comprised solely of Trump appointees, will review the presentation about the arch on April 16.
