As Pennsylvania prepares for the commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary, a free concert series is set to enliven the state. The program, known as the Commonwealth Concert Series, will feature notable artists performing at five different cities. This initiative, unveiled by Governor Josh Shapiro and the commission America250PA, promises to be a landmark event.

The series will take place every Saturday from Memorial Day weekend until the end of June, with concerts held in the following cities:
- State College: Bryce Jordan Center – May 23
- Erie: Erie Insurance Arena – June 6
- Hershey: Hershey Park Stadium – June 13
- Wilkes-Barre: Kirby Park – June 20
- Pittsburgh: Point State Park – June 27

Several famous musicians will grace the stage during the concert series:

- The Fray – headlining the Erie concert
- The Avett Brothers – set to perform in Hershey
- Lady A – taking the stage in Wilkes-Barre
