CBS Greenlights Vampire Comedy ‘Eternally Yours’; ‘The Tillbrooks’ Canceled
Filmogaz.com reports CBS has made final decisions on two comedy pilots this season. One project was ordered to series while the other was passed on.
Network timing and slate
CBS picked up the single-cam comedy Eternally Yours for the 2026-2027 broadcast season. The Tillbrooks, formerly called Regency, will not move forward.
The timing comes days before CBS unveils its fall schedule on April 15. With this pickup, no remaining scripted series decisions are pending.
Details on Eternally Yours
Eternally Yours was created by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman. The pair also developed CBS’s American version of Ghosts.
The series follows Charles and Liz, a vampire couple married for 500 years. Ed Weeks and Allegra Edwards play the spouses, with Helen J. Shen as their daughter.
- Parker Young plays the daughter’s human boyfriend.
- Executive producers include Joe Port, Joe Wiseman, Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, and Jason Wang.
- Trent O’Donnell executive produced and directed the pilot.
- CBS Studios will produce the series.
Ghosts remains a ratings success for CBS and is airing its fifth season. It was already renewed through season six last year.
The Tillbrooks
The Tillbrooks was presented as a historical spin on the classic multi-cam family sitcom. The story was set in 19th century England.
Rhys Darby was attached to star as family patriarch Arthur Tillbrook. The cast also included Mia Challis, Hayley Griffith, and Shiv Pai.
Tara Hernandez wrote the pilot and served as executive producer. Warner Bros. Television developed the project.
CBS lineup context
CBS renewed the bulk of its primetime slate weeks earlier. Two recent cancellations were the freshman comedy DMV and the sophomore drama Watson.
Long-running sitcom The Neighborhood is airing its final season. Executives could pair Eternally Yours with Ghosts in the fall, given the shared tone.
Trade reports noted the network’s moves, with outlets summarizing that CBS greenlit a vampire comedy while passing on The Tillbrooks. The choices close out this cycle of scripted decisions for CBS.
