Samsung Broadens One UI 8.5 Beta to Additional Galaxy Models

Samsung has announced an expansion of the One UI 8.5 Beta Program to a wider range of Galaxy devices. This follows the program’s initial rollout for models such as the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 6. The latest beta release now includes older devices, specifically from the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series.

New Devices Included in One UI 8.5 Beta

Starting today, the One UI 8.5 Beta Program is available for several additional devices:

  • Galaxy S23 series (including Galaxy S23 FE)
  • Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 (available in South Korea and the USA)
  • Galaxy A36 (available only in India)

This rollout is significant as it marks the first time that a device from the Galaxy A series is receiving the One UI 8.5 beta update. Additionally, it includes devices that are three years old, showcasing Samsung’s commitment to supporting its older models.

Joining the One UI 8.5 Beta Program

For those interested in participating in the One UI 8.5 Beta Program, follow these steps:

  1. Download the Samsung Members app from the Galaxy Store.
  2. Open the app and sign in with the Samsung account linked to your device.
  3. Locate the One UI 8.5 Beta Program banner in the Discover tab.
  4. Tap the banner and register your device for the beta program.

Once the beta update is available, users can navigate to Settings > Software Update > Check for Updates. After downloading the update, tap Install Now to commence installation. The device will restart, and the installation process may take several minutes.
