Lindsey Buckingham’s Stalker Arrested for Santa Monica Assault
An alleged stalker of Lindsey Buckingham was arrested following a March 25 incident in Santa Monica. The suspect allegedly threw an unknown substance at the former Fleetwood Mac guitarist. Buckingham was not injured.
Charges and arrest
Prosecutors in Los Angeles County filed seven criminal counts against Michelle Dick. The complaint lists felony counts for making criminal threats. It also includes a felony charge for assault with a deadly weapon involving a motor vehicle on March 19.
Additional felonies allege vandalism of Buckingham’s Mercedes‑Benz S450 on March 19 and a separate criminal threat on March 25. A misdemeanor battery charge alleges Dick used force during the March 25 encounter. A judge issued an arrest warrant and set bail at $300,000.
Allegations of prolonged harassment
Authorities say Dick stalked Buckingham from late 2021 through March 2026. The felony complaint names a second alleged victim, identified as Stephanie N. Prosecutors say both victims were placed in fear for their safety.
Filmogaz.com reported that Buckingham had a restraining order barring contact. In November 2024, he told a court that the harassment had escalated and made him fear for his family.
Reported incidents cited in court
- Dozens of phone calls and lengthy messages, some threatening violence.
- Claims by Dick that she was Buckingham’s child and blaming him for past facial deformities.
- Demands for money, alleged threats at a San Francisco venue, and a photo collage left at his home.
- Parking a car outside the home Buckingham shared with his wife.
Swatting and court order
On November 3, 2024, Dick allegedly called 911 and falsely reported a suicide and gunshots at Buckingham’s home. Dozens of officers responded and briefly detained Buckingham while they searched the property. Officers later confirmed his son was safe.
On December 20, 2024, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Elizabeth Scully issued a five‑year protection order. The order requires Dick to stay at least 100 yards from Buckingham, his wife, his son, their homes, and their vehicles.
