Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 20 points and supplied seven assists in that win. Chet Holmgren added 21 points, seven rebounds and four blocks.

The Lakers sit at 50-28. They lost 134-128 to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.

LeBron James produced 30 points and 15 assists in the defeat. His effort could not prevent the upset.

The Thunder closed the first half on a 23-5 run to seize control. At that stretch, Gilgeous-Alexander had 15 points and six assists.

One report noted a player named Joe with 12 points. The Lakers’ outside shooting eventually cooled and they scrambled for points.

Second-unit offense for Oklahoma City allowed Los Angeles to rally. Luke Kennard finished inside on a difficult attempt and the game was tied.

Gilgeous-Alexander committed a foul on Vanderbilt during a 3-point attempt. He then missed three free throws and was credited with 11 points and five assists at that point.

Earlier in the contest, Gilgeous-Alexander had seven points and five assists. Drew Timme already reached 10 points for the Lakers.
