The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop, but the suspect fled the scene. Consequently, California Highway Patrol (CHP) took over the chase.

The suspect traveled over 150 miles, eventually entering Victorville on the 15 Freeway. The pursuit concluded around 8:30 p.m. on the northbound 15 Freeway in Barstow when the suspect was taken into custody.
