Guardians Face Cubs: Lineups and Scores from Easter Doubleheader
The Cleveland Guardians will play a doubleheader against the Chicago Cubs on April 5. Both games start at 1:10 p.m. after a rainout postponed the April 4 matchup.
Cleveland opened its homestand on April 3 with a win over Chicago. Chase DeLauter provided a key home run in that victory.
Pitching plans and roster move
Logan Allen has been added as the Guardians’ 27th man for the twinbill. The move offers extra pitching depth for the club.
Slade Cecconi is scheduled to start the first game. Cecconi had been lined up to pitch on April 4.
Parker Messick is expected to take the mound in the second game. The club announced those starters before the doubleheader.
