NXT Women’s Main Event Sparks Drama as Paxley and Monroe Clash

NXT used its March 31 stop at The Theater at Madison Square Garden as a final build toward Stand & Deliver. The event on April 4 will take place in St. Louis. The evening tightened several women’s storylines at once.

Opening matches and backstage heat

Jaida Parker and Kelani Jordan opened the women’s in-ring action. Parker tapped into a strong fan reaction while Jordan leaned fully into heel tactics.

The match featured a control period and multiple near-falls. Parker closed the bout with Hipnotic and Déjà Vu to score the pinfall.

Later, Jordan attacked Parker backstage with a trash can. Referees intervened before lasting damage could occur.

North American title tension

The North American title picture saw a direct escalation. Blake Monroe emerged carrying Tatum Paxley’s championship after stealing it earlier in the night.

Monroe argued she never truly lost the belt and accepted a title match at Stand & Deliver. Paxley answered with a physical response, but Monroe escaped with the title.

The NXT Women’s main event sparked drama, while Paxley and Monroe continued their bitter clash over the North American crown.

Additional scenes and video packages

Backstage, Jacy Jayne appeared with the NXT Women’s Championship. She was flanked by Fatal Influence.

Izzi Dame made a brief appearance to remind viewers the title picture remains crowded. A package revisiting Sol Ruca and Zaria’s friendship also aired.

Main event controversy

The main event was a number one contender match between Kendal Grey and Lola Vice. The winner would face Jacy Jayne at Stand & Deliver.

The bout built steadily. Grey used mat work and suplexes, while Vice offered stiff striking and a late submission sequence.

Jacy Jayne arrived at ringside with Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid. Their presence added tension without derailing the match.

The finish was deliberately messy. Grey scored a pin as Vice still held a submission. Referee Adrian Butler ruled that Grey tapped before the count finished.

Shawn Michaels walked to the ring as replays suggested Grey had tapped while securing the pin. He consulted officials as the show concluded.

Outlook

The March 31 episode succeeded as a go-home show. It made Stand & Deliver feel important without forcing angles.

Filmogaz.com sees a likely triple threat scenario developing for the women’s title. Expected main roster call-ups could shift the division after the event.
