Sturgis Election Candidates Encouraged to File Petitions
Nomination petitions for the Sturgis mayoral race and the Ward 1 City Council seat are available at Sturgis City Hall. Prospective candidates may pick up forms during regular business hours.
State law prohibits signature collection until April 3. Candidates must collect at least 50 valid signatures from registered Sturgis voters to qualify for the ballot.
All completed petitions must be returned to City Hall by 5 p.m. on May 1. The municipal election is scheduled for June 2 and will decide both the mayor and the Ward 1 council seat.
