Michigan Basketball Star Faces Medical Emergency Before Final Four

The Michigan sendoff in Ann Arbor paused briefly Wednesday after a medical incident involving point guard Elliot Cadeau. Cadeau was removed from the team bus and taken to an ambulance. Team staff later said he would travel to Indianapolis under medical supervision.

What happened at the sendoff

The delay occurred as the team prepared to leave the Player Development Center. Cadeau notified medical staff that he may have had an allergic reaction to something he ate.

Medical personnel evaluated him on scene. He was placed on a gurney and transported to a nearby ambulance for further observation.

Team statement and travel plans

A program spokesperson said doctors cleared Cadeau but opted for continued monitoring. Out of caution, he remained under medical care and was expected to join the team later that day.
