Quentin Tarantino has returned to screenwriting with a new project tied to his 2019 film. The filmmaker penned a spinoff centered on Brad Pitt’s Cliff Booth. He opted not to direct the project himself.

The script is titled The Adventures of Cliff Booth. Tarantino wrote the screenplay, but David Fincher will direct. Netflix acquired distribution rights for the film.
The streamer released an initial teaser during the Super Bowl. That teaser marked the project’s first public promotional push.

The first official HD images from the production surfaced online yesterday. Those official Netflix images have driven renewed interest and online discussion.
There are circulating reports the film could arrive near the end of summer. Netflix has not confirmed a release date.
