Ex-BBC Star Announced as New Host for SNL UK

Jack Whitehall will host the April 11 episode of SNL UK. The 37-year-old London-born comedian will appear alongside musical guest Jorja Smith.

The Ex-BBC star will serve as the new host of SNL UK. He is expected to deliver the opening monologue and perform in sketches.

Episode specifics

The April 11 instalment runs for roughly 75 minutes. Whitehall follows recent hosts Tina Fey and Jamie Dornan.

The series takes a one-week break after that episode. It then resumes with four further shows beginning April 25.

SNL UK launched on March 21 with a star-studded premiere. Tina Fey fronted that opening episode.

The next episode airs on April 4. Riz Ahmed will host, with Kasabian as the musical guest.

The Sky Original adapts NBC’s format. Segments include an opening monologue, topical sketches, and a UK Weekend Update.

The series is broadcast live from London. Regular cast members include Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, and Larry Dean.
