The Comal County Sheriff’s Office posted that law enforcement is working to secure the scene. Officials have not confirmed whether a suspect is in custody.
Principal Julie Wiley notified families that officers are on campus and the building is secure. She said students and staff have been moved to safe areas and the threat is contained.

The campus is located at 3615 Mustang Vista, south of Bulverde. Students were transported for reunification at Bulverde Middle School, 29975 Wiley Road.
Hill Country Preparatory College High School is part of the Comal Independent School District. School officials and law enforcement continue coordinating the response.
