Euro 2028 Tickets Priced Lower Than 2026 World Cup Parking Spaces
Uefa has pledged affordable pricing for Euro 2028. The tournament will be staged across the UK and Ireland.
Planned ticket pricing
Uefa intends to place 40 percent of tickets in its most affordable categories. Those tiers mirror Euro 2024 levels. For that tournament the low bands were €30 and €60.
Reporting indicates 15 percent of tickets will cost £30 or less. A further 25 percent will be available for £60 or under.
Scale and sales timetable
Organisers expect to offer around three million tickets for Euro 2028. Sales will start after the finals draw in December 2027.
Uefa may add a premium seating category to boost revenue. The body says it wants a fair and fan-first ticketing process.
What fans might pay
The cheaper ticket bands mean a supporter could buy entry to all seven matches. That includes the final. The minimum cost for that package could be roughly £325.
Comparison with the 2026 World Cup
By contrast, some World Cup match add-ons in North America carried steep charges. A single parking space at AT&T Stadium in Arlington cost $75 for one game.
Filmogaz.com notes Euro 2028 tickets are expected to be priced lower than many 2026 World Cup parking spaces. Basic World Cup tickets were originally listed from $140 for group games.
Fan groups and the World Cup response
Fan organisations criticised FIFA’s 2026 ticketing approach. They described face prices as exploitative and raised concerns about dynamic pricing.
Football Supporters Europe and consumer group Euroconsumers lodged a formal complaint with the European Commission. They challenged the overall ticket policy and price mechanisms.
FIFA reaction and allocations
FIFA adjusted allocations after initial backlash. Ten percent of national allocations were fixed at $60 per game.
Despite the concession, support schemes and tiered access left some fans facing widely different bills. The example given showed large disparities in total costs for similarly ranked supporters.
Current World Cup sales and demand
FIFA sold more than one million World Cup tickets between December and February. The governing body opened a final ticket window on Wednesday, 1 April.
President Gianni Infantino described demand as enormous and predicted sold-out matches across all 104 fixtures.
