Amber Alert: 5-Year-Old Girl Missing After Stolen Vehicle Recovered in St. Louis County

St. Louis County authorities issued an Amber Alert Monday morning for a missing five-year-old. Police say the child, Aleise Dawson, was left in a running vehicle that was stolen about 8 a.m.

The theft occurred in the 8900 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Affton. Officers recovered the vehicle, but Dawson remains missing.

This Amber Alert concerns a 5-year-old girl after a stolen vehicle was recovered in St. Louis County. Missouri State Highway Patrol issued the alert at about 9:20 a.m.

Investigation details

Search teams from local police and the highway patrol are canvassing the area. Investigators are checking surveillance and speaking to witnesses.
