NYT Strands Hints and Solutions for March 29, 2026

Filmogaz.com presents hints and the full solution for the Strands puzzle published on March 29, 2026. The puzzle carried the theme clue “A bit peckish?” and appears as Strands #756.

Answers at a glance

The spangram for the March 29 puzzle is FORTHEBIRDS. The seven theme words are below.

  • FRUIT
  • MILLET
  • BERRIES
  • SEEDS
  • NECTAR
  • SUET
  • BUGS

How the grid fell into place

One early find was BUGS in the lower-right corner. NECTAR appeared along the right edge soon after.

SEEDS followed, then the spangram FORTHEBIRDS became visible. SUET was also on the right edge.

FRUIT showed up near the upper-left corner, with MILLET just below it. BERRIES completed the list.

Gameplay mechanics and tips

The spangram spans the full board vertically or horizontally. Finding it makes the rest of the puzzle easier.

Letters may be linked in any direction. Each letter can be used only once in a word.

Submit any three valid non-theme words of four letters or more to enable the Hint button. That hint highlights all letters in one theme word.

If you use a second hint on the same word, the highlighted letters reveal their correct order.

Strands does not impose a time limit or a limited number of guesses. You cannot fail the puzzle.

When finished, a shareable card displays blue dots for theme words, a yellow dot for the spangram, and a lightbulb for hinted words.
