Council Receives Plans for New Home, Caravan Sites, and Renovations
A series of planning submissions has arrived at the local council. They cover new home proposals, caravan sites and renovations across Ceredigion.
Temporary caravans at Brynawel, Newcastle Emlyn
An application seeks permission for two static caravans at Brynawel in Cwm Cou. The units would provide temporary accommodation while work continues on a development that began on June 1, 2021.
The two caravans would be linked by an annexe. Together they would offer eight beds for residents during construction.
Proposed Georgian-style house near Bryndewi Farm, Aberarth
An application proposes a four-bedroom Georgian-style home on land adjacent to Bryndewi Farm. The house is intended for a self-employed plumber, his partner who works as a nurse at Bronglais, and their children.
The land is owned by the applicant’s parents and is partly used for storage and agriculture. The design includes ground-floor bedrooms, a bathroom, en-suite and laundry room, plus first-floor living room, kitchen, dining room, office, utility and WC.
Studio and porch at Bryncerdd, Y Ferwig
A homeowner at Bryncerdd in Y Ferwig, Cardigan, has applied to add a single-storey front studio or study and a lean-to porch. The existing house already contains four bedrooms, lounge, kitchen/dining area, utility, bathroom, en-suite and WC.
Proposed finishes would match the current roof tiles and ridge tiles. The plan also includes Velux windows, a rainwater pipe, timber posts, and installation of a bat and bird box.
Lawful use request for Gwalia Falls Caravan Park, Tresaith
Gwalia Falls Caravan Park has applied for a Lawful Development Certificate. The aim is to confirm the site’s long-established use for static caravans and lodges.
The park has operated for several decades and includes caravans, lodges, access roads, landscaped areas and ancillary land. Access is taken from the western boundary, with an internal road providing circulation through the site.
Remodel and outbuildings at Glan Yr Odyn, Tresaith
A proposal at Glan Yr Odyn in Tresaith, Cardigan, seeks to remodel and extend the main house. The scheme would remove an existing storm shelter and two outbuildings.
New single-storey outbuildings are proposed to serve as a home office, garage or boat store, and a workshop. The additions aim to support both domestic and storage needs.
