Reason for leaving
The 49-year-old said he wants more time with his two daughters. He also cited a desire to take on a new professional challenge.
Alexander noted heavy travel recently. He said he spent more than 80 nights away in the last seven months.

Alexander and his wife, Alison Starling, live in Washington, D.C. Their daughters are Ava, 12, and Emma, 10.
