Maroon Warriors Prepare for ODI Clash in St Kitts After T20 Triumphs
The West Indies Women shift focus to three One-Day Internationals at Warner Park in Basseterre, St Kitts. They arrive after a competitive T20 series in St Vincent against Australia.
T20 series recap
Australia won the T20 series 3-0 at Arnos Vale Cricket Ground. The results masked several encouraging performances from the Maroon Warriors.
Captain Hayley Matthews led with both bat and ball. She scored a resolute half-century in the second T20. Deandra Dottin produced game-changing contributions. Stafanie Taylor offered experienced stability in the middle order.
Opener Qiana Joseph rose 14 places to 33rd in the ICC Women’s T20 batting rankings. Taylor moved up two spots to 48th.
Squad changes and selection
The ODI group features three changes from the T20 side. Realeanna Grimmond, Ashmini Munisar and Shunelle Sawh were brought into the XI.
They replace Eboni Brathwaite, Zaida James and Mandy Mangru. Head coach Shane Deitz confirmed the adjustments ahead of the first match.
