Sounders, Reign Grant Season-Ticket Holders World Cup Ticket Lottery Entry
Season-ticket holders for the Seattle Sounders and OL Reign received an exclusive chance to enter a lottery for three 2026 World Cup matches hosted in the city. The offer arrived via club email and targeted account holders ahead of a public sales phase.
The Sounders, Reign Grant Season-Ticket Holders World Cup Ticket Lottery Entry was described as a rare opportunity with club support. The message noted that FIFA controls ticket sales and sets prices for the matches.
Matches included and excluded
The lottery covers three local fixtures: Belgium vs. Egypt on June 15, Europe Playoff A vs. Qatar on June 25, and a Round of 32 match on July 1. Several high-profile games are not part of the lottery.
Those excluded include USA vs. Australia on June 19, Egypt vs. Iran on June 26, and the Round of 16 match on July 6. Fans cannot obtain those tickets through this club-run lottery.
How the lottery works
Clubs administer the lottery but FIFA sells the tickets and sets the face values. The clubs’ email explained that winners would be assigned both a specific match and a seating category after payment.
Entrants face a deadline of March 30 to submit entries. Winners will be notified on March 31 and their cards charged on April 1.
Entry weighting and fees
Lottery entries will be weighted based on how long a person has been a season-ticket holder. The number of seats in an account will also affect weighting.
Available seats were listed at $400 to $515 each. A 2.5% payment processing fee will be applied at purchase.
Pricing context and seat selection
The email described prices as face value with no markup. Independent comparison shows those prices exceed what Categories 1 and 2 sold for during the initial October release.
Club members cannot pick exact seats in the lottery phase. Specific seat selection opens during the public Last-Minute Sales Phase.
Public sales timeline
The Last-Minute Sales Phase begins April 1. It will be the first time the general public can choose specific seats.
After that date, remaining tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Demand, transparency and remaining inventory
FIFA has promoted strong global demand. However, organizers have provided little detail about sales by match.
Industry observers believe demand is very high for some fixtures. At the same time, roughly one million tickets may still be unsold less than three months before kickoff.
