Sky and NOW Subscribers to Get HBO Max in One Subscription Starting March 26

Filmogaz.com reports that, from March 26, HBO Max is available through Sky and NOW. Millions of eligible Sky TV customers now receive HBO Max Basic with Ads as part of their plan.

What the new offering includes

Sky TV subscribers gain HBO Max Basic with Ads at no extra cost. The add-on is valued at £4.99 per month.

Sky has bundled HBO Max with other streaming services. The package brings Disney+, Netflix and Hayu together with Sky TV.

Sky Ultimate TV and pricing

New customers can take Sky Ultimate TV from £24 a month. Hayu joins the bundle in July.

Subscribers can pair Ultimate TV with Full Fibre 300 broadband. The combined price is £41 per month, currently £39.

Content highlights

HBO Max on Sky carries landmark series and prestige dramas. Titles available include Succession, The Wire and Game of Thrones.

Max Originals and HBO originals are included. The list features The Pitt, Lanterns from DC Studios and more.

Warner Bros. features are part of the lineup. Films such as Dune, The Batman, Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings are available.

Access and integration

Sky Stream, Sky Glass with Ultimate TV and Sky Q customers can access HBO Max Basic with Ads. The app appears on the Sky TV homepage.

Customers can use the “HBO Max” voice command to open the app. Sign-up is completed through on-screen instructions.

Sky OS integrates recommendations from multiple apps. Continue Watching and Playlist functions simplify picking up where viewers left off.

Sky channels and cinemas

Sky Atlantic will continue hosting upcoming HBO seasons. Euphoria, House of the Dragon and The Last of Us remain key fixtures.

Sky Cinema will keep delivering new Warner Bros. releases. Recent examples include One Battle After Another and Superman.

Changes for NOW customers

Existing NOW Entertainment subscribers automatically receive HBO Max Basic with Ads at no extra charge. The integration appears inside the NOW app.

For newcomers, a combined NOW Entertainment & HBO Max membership starts at £6.99 per month. A separate NOW Entertainment plan is available from £4.99 per month.

TNT Sports availability

TNT Sports will stream via the HBO Max app for Sky subscribers. Those with the TNT Sports pack can still use Sky TV guide and Sky Go.

Live coverage includes Premier League, UEFA club competitions and the FA Cup. The service also covers Premiership Rugby, Tour de France and MotoGP.

Sky customers who have HBO Max Basic with Ads can add TNT Sports as a billed Sky TV pack. Customers without HBO Max can still add TNT Sports and access the content through the HBO Max app.

What this means for viewers

Sky and NOW subscribers now get consolidated access to HBO Max content within their chosen platform. The change aims to reduce app switching.

The move creates a single subscription experience for many users. It simplifies finding and watching series, films and live sports.
