US Mint Unveils 1776-2026 Commemorative Coin Designs for Dime, Quarter, Half Dollar

Dime and half dollar details
The Liberty Dime nods to the 1790s depictions of Lady Liberty. Designers drew from early American coinage.

Obverse inscriptions, timing and intent
Each redesigned obverse will display dual dates reading 1776-2026. The Mint calls these semi-quincentennial redesigns.
U.S. Mint Director Paul Hollis said the effort represents the most significant coin redesign in a century. He added he expects Americans to save and share the coins.
