Pluto TV and Channel 5 to Simulcast Snooker Events
Channel 5 and Pluto TV will combine forces to simulcast two upcoming seniors snooker tournaments. The John Virgo Trophy takes place on 11 and 12 April, while the World Seniors Snooker Championship runs 6–10 May.
John Virgo Trophy coverage
The John Virgo Trophy will be staged in Ireland. Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Williams, John Higgins and Stephen Hendry are set to compete.
Coverage will air on 5 Action and the 5 app, with Pluto TV carrying the event internationally. This confirms Channel 5 to Simulcast Snooker Events alongside Pluto TV.
World Seniors Snooker Championship broadcast
The World Seniors event features Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Williams, Reanne Evans, Stuart Bingham, Ken Doherty, Jimmy White and Tony Drago. Matches run from 6 to 10 May.
Pluto TV will stream the tournament in the UK and to international territories. Channel 5 will show main table action and, for the first time, a second table feed on 5 Streaming.

Partnership and reach
Raphael Pendergast, director of sport at 5, said the tie-up will bring the sport’s biggest names to a wider audience. Olivier Jollet, EVP head of Pluto TV EMEA & Asia, stressed accessibility through both traditional and new formats.
Jason Francis, owner of World Seniors Snooker and Snooker 900, described the deal as delivering a significant global reach. He expressed hope the relationship will expand to further events.
