Tiger Woods Returns to TGL Golf League After Los Angeles GC Victory

Woods has served in a non-playing role for Jupiter Links GC across the 2026 season. He last appeared on the PGA Tour in July 2024 and underwent back surgery last October.
Team line-ups and stakes
Woods replaces Kevin Kisner in Jupiter Links for the SoFi Cup Finals. He will partner Max Homa and Tom Kim against Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose and Sahith Theegala for Los Angeles Golf Club.
Los Angeles holds a 1-0 lead after a 6-5 win in Match 1. Jupiter Links must win Match 2 to force a deciding Match 3 later that night.

How the opener unfolded
Kisner missed a six-foot birdie on the opening hole in the triples format. Los Angeles birdied the par-5 second to take the early advantage.
Theegala hit into a penalty area and missed a three-foot par at the sixth. Fleetwood also lipped out from close range on the next hole, giving Jupiter Links a 2-1 lead.
Rose sunk a 35-foot chip at the eighth to level the match. Los Angeles declined the Hammer at nine, and Jupiter Links regained a narrow edge heading into singles play.
Rose won the 10th to put Los Angeles 4-3 up. Jupiter Links declined the Hammer on the next hole. Kisner then levelled at the 12th after Theegala found trouble.
Homa converted birdie at the 13th after Rose missed. Kim and Fleetwood traded birdies at 14 to leave Jupiter Links one up with one hole remaining.
Los Angeles used the Hammer on the last hole. Theegala two-putted for birdie and sealed a 6-5 victory as Kisner missed a chip-in attempt.
Reactions and next steps
Woods said the team remained united and that the contest was tight. He added they still had a chance to extend the evening and force a decider.
Fleetwood praised Jupiter Links and called the match extremely close. He urged his side to remain focused for Tuesday’s contest.
