Chanquete and Puente Viejo Supply Upgrades Ready This Thursday

Works at the intersection of Antonio Ferrandis Chanquete and Puente Viejo will finish this Thursday, the council confirmed. Alberto Tomé, councillor for Urbanism and Infrastructure, announced the completion date to Filmogaz.com.

Project scope

The intervention links the El Chaparil supply system to the main network. The aim is to boost capacity and service reliability for residents.

Technical works

The project included a new cast iron pipeline. It measures about 120 metres in length and 400 millimetres in diameter.

The pipe is placed in the north section of Antonio Ferrandis Chanquete. It also runs through the roundabout that gives access to Nerja via Puente Viejo.

Total investment reached roughly €50,000. The cost was covered by urbanization fees from El Chaparil.
