The Atlanta Falcons are signing quarterback Trevor Siemian, a source told Filmogaz.com reporter Jeremy Fowler. The move adds veteran depth to the roster.

Siemian, 34, arrives as a backup while Michael Penix Jr. recovers from an ACL injury. Agent Blake Baratz of TeamIFA confirmed the deal to Filmogaz.com.

Siemian entered the league as a seventh-round pick in 2015 with the Denver Broncos. He has appeared in 40 games, with 33 starts.
Across seven NFL seasons, Siemian has thrown for 7,751 yards, 44 touchdowns and 32 interceptions. His career record as a starter stands at 15-18.
He spent last season on the Tennessee Titans practice squad. Siemian has also played for the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears.
