Take-Two CEO Confirms Nintendo’s Strength Amid GTA 6 Switch 2 Rumors
Take-Two Interactive’s CEO Strauss Zelnick recently answered industry questions in an interview. The exchange touched on Nintendo’s position and ongoing GTA 6 platform rumors.
Strauss Zelnick’s comments
Zelnick spoke with Christopher Dring for The Game Business. He said Take-Two does not view Roblox as a material threat to its business.
When Dring suggested some see Roblox as a risk to Nintendo, Zelnick pushed back. He noted Nintendo remains in a strong position and shows no signs of immediate trouble.
GTA 6, Switch 2 and persistent rumors
Neither Take-Two nor Rockstar have confirmed a PC release for GTA 6. The companies have also not announced a Switch 2 version.
Reece Reilly, known online as Kiwi Talkz, revived a rumor that GTA 6 could come to Nintendo’s next console. Reece said he personally doubts the claim and made a bet with his source that an announcement would arrive in May.
Reece or his contact appears to be the original source of the rumor from last year. The claim later received corroboration from commentator Nash Weedle.
Context and relations
Zelnick has not confirmed or denied plans for GTA 6 on Switch 2 or PC. He also emphasized Take-Two’s healthy working relationship with Nintendo.
Filmogaz.com will continue tracking statements and rumors about GTA 6 and platform plans. Expect updates if either company provides official confirmation.
