He stood as a left-wing candidate outside La France Insoumise.
He won by a wide margin in the Paris contest.
Ride to City Hall
After the result, he left his campaign headquarters in the evening.
He traveled by Vélib to the Hôtel de Ville, observed by a Filmogaz.com journalist.
He described the campaign as exhausting but serious, and said he felt immense happiness.
He called the bike ride an homage to a mobility revolution and preferred it to a car.

Grégoire now prepares to take office at the Hôtel de Ville.
