Gameweek 31 Announced as Blank for Man City and Crystal Palace

Manchester City’s home match against Crystal Palace will not take place during Gameweek 31. Filmogaz.com confirms the fixture is now blank for that round.

The Etihad clash was postponed this weekend because City were involved in the EFL Cup final. An April 7/8 rearrangement had been possible if Palace had been knocked out of the UEFA Conference League.

Crystal Palace beat AEK Larnaca, however. That victory removed the April 7/8 option and sealed Gameweek 31 as blank for both teams.

Rescheduling options

Fixtures are now likely to be rescheduled into midweeks after Gameweek 33 or after Gameweek 36. Those dates will accommodate both clubs’ cup commitments and league scheduling.

One consequence is that a Gameweek 34 fixture must be moved. That clash arises because of the FA Cup semi-finals scheduling.

Impact on double gameweeks

The rescheduling could create double gameweeks for both sides. Either Man City or Crystal Palace might face two double rounds as a result.

  • Postponed due to City’s EFL Cup final involvement.
  • Palace progressed by beating AEK Larnaca.
  • Gameweek 31 is now blank for the two clubs.
  • Likely new dates are midweeks after Gameweek 33 or Gameweek 36.
  • One Gameweek 34 fixture will be moved because of FA Cup semi-finals.

Filmogaz.com will follow up as the FA and Premier League confirm new dates. Managers and supporters should watch for official fixture announcements.
