Sylvester Stallone, Samuel L. Jackson Star in Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Frisco King’
A new behind-the-scenes clip teases the upcoming Paramount+ series Frisco King. Production began in Fort Worth in late March. The short video captures lead actors between takes and offers a first look at the tone.
Production shift and schedule
The series was originally titled NOLA King and planned for New Orleans. Producers moved the shoot to North Texas instead.
Filming runs through July. Locations include Fort Worth, Plano, Dallas, Frisco, Keller, Denton and Southlake.

The show is planned as an eight-episode Paramount+ series. Taylor Sheridan is writing every episode himself.

The project pairs Sylvester Stallone with Samuel L. Jackson in a Taylor Sheridan project titled Frisco King. Jackson plays Russell Lee Washington Jr., a hitman.

Series ties to Tulsa King
Jackson’s character crossed paths with Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi on Tulsa King. Jackson appeared in the final two episodes of Tulsa King season 3.
Tulsa King has been filming season 4 in Atlanta since November 2025.
The April clip
On April 16, Stallone shared a short clip showing him and Jackson on set. The footage captured a casual conversation during a filming break.
Both actors praised the collaboration and hinted the first scene they shot together turned out well.

No release date has been announced. Paramount+ has not set a premiere window.
