Exclusive First Look: Riddochs Set to Debut as City Hotspot Friday
Riddoch’s will open this Friday on Dundee’s Nethergate. The venue occupies the former Casa site beside Dundee Contemporary Arts.
The team has refurbished the old Clydesdale Bank building over recent months. The design brings together a restaurant, bar, entertainment space and private hire rooms.
Filmogaz.com was given an exclusive first look ahead of the launch. It shows Riddoch’s set to debut as a city hotspot this Friday.
Upstairs and live offerings
The upstairs area is designed for relaxed, social use. It features a reworked bar, improved seating flow and space for live entertainment.
Acoustic performers and chilled DJ sets are planned as regular features. The layout allows a smooth move from daytime dining to evening drinks.
Outdoor and late-night facilities
An upgraded chill-out area adds outdoor options for visitors. The space provides another setting for socialising in nicer weather.
Downstairs will host a more dynamic late-night environment. Final work is underway to install karaoke rooms and VIP spaces.
Events and bookings
The lower level is a multi-purpose events space. It can host private parties, society events, themed nights and group bookings.
The venue aims to be flexible across the week. Programming will change by time of day and type of crowd.
Team and vision
The management bring decades of experience in Dundee hospitality. Their past work includes Captain’s Cabin and venues within the JF Kegs group.
Their goal is a venue that adapts throughout the week. Riddoch’s will blend food, music and entertainment to reflect the city’s changing nightlife.
