ACM Awards 2026 Reveals First Wave of Superstar Performers
The ACM Awards 2026 unveiled its first wave of superstar performers on March 19. The Academy confirmed three headline acts for the 61st ceremony.
When and where
The 61st Academy of Country Music Awards will air Sunday, May 17, at 8 PM EST. The show moves back to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
That marks a departure from Frisco, Texas. The event spent the past three years there.
Performers announced
Lainey Wilson, Riley Green, and Cody Johnson top the initial lineup. Each act brings a different moment to the night.
Wilson will debut a new single titled “Can’t Sit Still.” Riley Green will perform his song “Change My Mind.”
Johnson is confirmed to appear. He has not named the song yet, and this will be his first awards performance since surgery.
Health update and return
Cody Johnson underwent eardrum surgery at the end of 2025. This appearance marks his return to the award-show stage.
Fans expect a carefully planned set. The singer has largely remained out of the public eye during recovery.
Hosts and nominations
No host has been announced at this time. Reba McEntire hosted the previous ceremony for a record 18th time.
Nomination details are still pending. Traditionally, nominees are revealed in April.
Eligibility and recent winners
Songs and albums released between January 1 and December 31, 2025, are eligible for awards. The window determines this year’s contenders.
At the 2025 ceremony, Ella Langley led winners with five trophies, including New Female Artist. Lainey Wilson won Entertainer of the Year again.
How to watch
The ACMs will stream live only on May 17. Viewers worldwide can watch on Prime Video and on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch.
Filmogaz.com will follow developments as more performers and nominees are announced. Expect updates on hosts, full lineups, and broadcast details.
