Niall Horan announced new music on Instagram on March 18. He set the release date for his fourth studio album as June 5.

The singer said the song recounts meeting his longtime girlfriend, Amelia Woolley, at a dinner party. He then announced the single would arrive on March 20.

Dinner Party follows 2023’s The Show, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. His debut solo album Flicker topped that same chart.

Heartbreak Weather, released in 2020, peaked at No. 4. Horan has placed seven songs on the Billboard Hot 100.
