Madrid finish off Manchester City
Real Madrid defended a 3-0 first-leg lead with a 2-1 win at Manchester City. Bernardo Silva received a red card after a VAR review at 20 minutes.
Vinícius Júnior converted the spot kick and later scored again in stoppage time. The result sent Madrid through 5-1 on aggregate.

The win came eight months after Chelsea beat PSG in the Club World Cup final. PSG will face either Galatasaray or Liverpool in the quarterfinals.
Sporting’s remarkable comeback
Bodø/Glimt had won the first leg 3-0 at their Aspmyra Stadium. The Norwegian club represents a fishing town of about 55,000 north of the Arctic Circle.
Sporting dominated the return leg. Gonçalo Inácio, Pedro Gonçalves and Luis Suárez scored to force extra time.
In extra time, Maxi Araújo struck at 92 minutes to put Sporting ahead on aggregate. Rafael Nel added a stoppage-time goal to complete a 5-0 victory.

Arsenal progress and context
Arsenal beat Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 at the Emirates. Eberechi Eze and Declan Rice supplied the goals to make it 3-1 on aggregate.
