February Wholesale Inflation Sustains Strong Growth Trend
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the producer price index for total final demand rose 0.7% in February. The release came on Wednesday morning.
January’s monthly advance had been 0.5%.

February’s rise marked the third straight month of strong PPI readings. It was a higher-than-expected monthly gain.
On an annual basis, the increase translated to a 3.4% rate. That compared with a 2.9% rate logged in January.
