Pickup Truck Damages Property on Route 9D
On March 14, a pickup truck veered off Route 9D just south of Cold Spring. It struck a house and an accessory building at 1698 Route 9D, damaging both structures.
Charges and court proceedings
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office identified the driver as Zachary Freeman, 39, of Philipstown. He faces felony reckless endangerment and two misdemeanors for aggravated and standard DWI.
Authorities also cited him for an unsafe lane change, and he was arraigned in Philipstown Court before being released. Freeman remains subject to the county investigation and potential prosecution.
