MG has recently gained approval to introduce its MG4 Urban electric vehicle in Australia. This model is set to be the most affordable electric vehicle in the country, with a starting price projected around $30,000 AUD. Initially teased in China last year, the MG4 Urban is anticipated to launch in Australia in April 2026, adding to the growing range of budget-friendly EV options available.

- 43 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery.

MG’s new offering will join the existing rear-wheel-drive model, which has seen great success since its debut in 2023, with over 13,000 units sold.
