On March 3, around 7:30 a.m., Durham police received a call concerning suspicious activity at a gas station located at the intersection of Concession Road 8 and Highway 35/115. An employee discovered card skimming devices attached to the pumps during a routine inspection.
Investigation Details
After the discovery, the gas station employees reviewed security footage, which helped identify the suspects responsible for installing the skimming devices. Later that same day, the suspects returned to the gas station to collect the devices they had planted.
Arrests Made
Durham police apprehended the suspects a short distance from the gas station. A search of their vehicle resulted in the recovery of electronic skimming devices as well as illegal drugs.
