Frito Lay Chips Recall Pulls Miss Vickie's Pickle Chips Over Undeclared Milk

Frito Lay Chips Recall Pulls Miss Vickie's Pickle Chips Over Undeclared Milk

A new frito lay chips recall was issued Wednesday after Frito‑Lay said some 8‑ounce bags of Miss Vickie’s Spicy Dill Pickle Potato Chips may contain undeclared milk, posing a risk of a serious or life‑threatening allergic reaction for people with dairy allergies.

Frito Lay Chips Recall details: which bags and codes are affected

The recall covers select 8 oz. bags of Miss Vickie’s Spicy Dill Pickle Potato Chips. Company notices say the problem arose when jalapeño‑flavored chips that contain milk were mistakenly included in the Spicy Dill Pickle packaging. The affected bags carry manufacturing codes 38U301414 or 48U101514 and a "Guaranteed Fresh" date of April 21, 2026.

Where the chips were sold and how they were flagged

Frito‑Lay said the affected bags were distributed as early as Jan. 15 to grocery, convenience and drug stores and online retailers in six states: Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. The issue came to light after a consumer contacted the company, prompting the voluntary recall.

Who should act and what to do with recalled bags

People with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk should not eat the recalled product and should discard it immediately. Frito‑Lay encourages consumers who have the listed chips to contact the company for guidance. The company emphasized that, unless a consumer has a dairy allergy or sensitivity to milk, the product is safe to consume.

No other Miss Vickie’s flavors, sizes or variety packs are included in the recall. Frito‑Lay is pulling the select bags from store shelves as the company and regulators notify retailers and consumers about the affected packaging.

The next confirmed steps are the company’s outreach to consumers and removal of the identified product from retail distribution; Frito‑Lay has asked anyone who believes they have the recalled chips to contact the company for further instructions.
