Arc Raiders Patch Notes 1.18.0: Very Hot Fix Addresses Performance Hits, Blueprint Drops and Exploits
A new Patch 1. 18. 0 update for arc raiders launches today with a "very hot fix" that tackles performance problems tied to ARC robots, reduces the chance of rare blueprint drops, and patches several gameplay exploits. The update is rolling out now and players are advised to restart their client to download the changes.
Arc Raiders Patch 1. 18. 0: Key Fixes and Loot Changes
Patch 1. 18. 0 focuses on stability, balance and exploit prevention rather than fresh content. Notable gameplay and loot adjustments in this release include:
- Exploit fixes: An exploit that allowed weapons to be placed into a safe pocket without the Safekeeper Augment has been closed. The issue that permitted the Snaphook to be put into a safe pocket while in use has also been corrected.
- Blueprint and material adjustments: The drop rate for rare blueprints has been reduced slightly, while the drop rate for higher-tier materials in First Wave Caches under the Hurricane map condition has been increased to help rebalance cache rewards.
- Performance fixes: An issue where some ARC robots caused noticeable performance degradation has been addressed by the developers.
- Zone and quest fixes: A hot fix was applied for the Dam Controlled Access Zone. The final stage of the "Worth Your Salt" quest now completes properly if another player has already completed it earlier in the same raid.
- Crash mitigation: A rare crash experienced when navigating to the Player Proximity menu has been eradicated.
What This Means for Players of Arc Raiders
Players should expect fewer reliably high blueprint hauls from First Wave Caches, offset by an improved chance of receiving higher-tier crafting materials in the Hurricane map condition. The change aims to balance progression so caches remain a useful source of blueprints without producing unusually large numbers per session. Stability work on ARC robots and the Player Proximity menu should reduce interruptions and improve overall session smoothness.
Rollout, Requirements and Practical Notes
The update is rolling out across platforms now. If the patch does not begin downloading automatically, a client restart is recommended. To play, an internet connection and an Embark ID user account are required, plus acceptance of the Embark Terms of Service and End User License Agreement; players must meet the age requirement of 13 or older. Raider Tokens remain the in-game currency and can be used to acquire raider decks, bundles, cosmetic items and related content.
Investigations into other issues remain ongoing and the developer is continuing to refine stability and balance. Details may evolve as further patches are deployed.
