Peruvian Government Retires José Jerí’s Phrase “¡El Perú a toda máquina!”

Denisse Miralles, current head of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM), has officially retired the slogan “¡El Perú a toda máquina!” This phrase was introduced by former President José María Balcázar during his short four-month term.

Resolution to Retire the Slogan

On February 26, 2026, the Peruvian government enacted Resolution Ministerial N° 056-2026-PCM. This resolution revoked the prior regulation associated with the slogan and logo established under RM N° 366-2025-PCM. The previous regulation mandated the slogan’s use in all official state communications.

New Direction for Government Messaging

As a result of this decision, the PCM has announced its intention to develop a new slogan. This new phrase will reflect the government’s updated management policies and priorities for the nation.

  • Date of Resolution: February 26, 2026
  • Previous Administration: José María Balcázar (4 months)
  • Previous Slogan: ¡El Perú a toda máquina!
  • New Slogan Development: Upcoming announcement from the PCM

This decision offers the transitional government an opportunity to create an institutional slogan that will embody its vision and governance for the year 2026.
