Behind the Scenes
Vienna Harwood, who performs as Cinderella and other characters, has been integral to the show’s development since rehearsals began in July. “I was at the studio for eight hours a day,” she recalls. The rigorous practice has ensured a polished performance for audiences.
Touring and Preparation
Having launched the show in Orlando, Disney on Ice is currently on a North American tour, with future stops planned in Mexico. Despite the demands of touring, Harwood finds joy in performing for children, stating, “As soon as I step on the ice and I see little kids, it puts me into character.”
Performance Schedule
The two English performances in Montreal will occur on:
- March 5 at 7 p.m.
- March 8 at 3 p.m.
Challenges and Rewards
To maintain peak physical condition, Harwood incorporates regular running and stretching into her routine. She acknowledges the challenges of performing in a complex bat costume for “Moana 2,” saying, “Sometimes we will get stuck together and it’s hard to move around.”
Ultimately, the joyful reactions from audiences make the strenuous efforts worthwhile for her: “It’s so amazing, it’s everything that I dreamed of,” she says. “Seeing the little kids jumping up and down brings us joy backstage.”
