Usa Baseball Schedule: Team USA opens pool play March 6 in Houston

The usa baseball schedule is set: Team USA begins pool play Friday, March 6, at 8 p. m. ET against Brazil at Daikin Park in Houston, Texas, after the tournament opens Wednesday, March 4.

Usa Baseball Schedule: Pool play and starters

Team USA will play four pool games over six days in Pool B, which includes Mexico, Italy, Great Britain and Brazil. The team's announced pool-game slate lists:

Friday, March 6 — USA vs. Brazil, 8 p. m. ET — Logan Webb is scheduled to start.
Saturday, March 7 — Great Britain vs. USA, 8 p. m. ET — Tarik Skubal is scheduled to start.
Sunday, March 8 — Mexico vs. USA, 8 p. m. ET — Paul Skenes is scheduled to start.
Tuesday, March 10 — Italy vs. USA, 9 p. m. ET — Nolan McLean is scheduled to start.

This usa baseball schedule places all Pool B games at Daikin Park in Houston and gives managers four games to secure advancement to the single-elimination quarterfinals.

Exhibition tune-ups and early pitchers

Before pool play begins, Team USA will play exhibition games on consecutive days: an exhibition against the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday, with Paul Skenes slated to start that game, and an exhibition versus the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday. Aaron Judge is serving as Team USA's captain during the pre-tournament workouts and exhibitions.

Knockout dates and the path forward

Each pool contains five teams and every team plays four games in pool play. Eight of the 20 teams in the Classic will advance to the quarterfinals, which are single elimination. If the United States advances out of pool play, the quarterfinals begin Friday, March 13; the semifinals start the day after quarterfinals end, and the final is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17. By way of recent history, Team Japan beat Team USA 3-2 in the 2023 final.

Team USA’s next confirmed events are the exhibition games on Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by the first pool game Friday, March 6, 8 p. m. ET against Brazil; if the team moves on, the quarterfinals start Friday, March 13.
