Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort in aruba has once again earned Green Globe recertification and remains the only hotel in the world to have achieved two perfect 100 percent Green Globe scores, extending more than 20 years of verified environmental performance. Among recent operational steps, Elements Restaurant now runs a fully electric, 100 percent fossil-fuel-free kitchen, a change that eliminated gas use in the restaurant and produced an 18 percent reduction in energy consumption. The resort plans to finish converting its laundry facilities to fully electric systems in 2026, which will remove the final gas-dependent operation on the property.
Bucuti & Tara is advancing toward Net Zero certification for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions in 2026, a specific benchmark given in its sustainability timeline. The resort’s nature and community programs include the Bucuti Tara–GMC Nature Preserve, a 32-acre protected area for reforestation and habitat restoration; the property and partners planted the resort’s 1, 200th tree in 2025.
