Skynews: New DOJ files and photos deepen scrutiny of Bill Clinton’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein

The Department of Justice has released images, flight logs and emails that map contacts among Bill Clinton, Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, material that is now figureing in congressional questioning. Skynews coverage and verified photographic timelines show how social introductions, donations and travel intersected with Clinton’s post-presidential charitable work.

Photographs: Ghislaine Maxwell and intimate snapshots

The newly disclosed visual material includes a photograph of Bill Clinton taking a night-time swim alongside Ghislaine Maxwell, a backstage image of him smiling at a Rolling Stones concert in Hong Kong with Jeffrey Epstein, and an undated snapshot showing Clinton reclining in a hot tub beside a person whose face has been blacked out. Maxwell, the British socialite who later was convicted of sex trafficking in 2021, appears repeatedly in correspondence and imagery that link social introductions to later contact.

Documents: Department of Justice releases and the unfolding congressional probe

The Department of Justice release of images and emails has become central evidence as a Republican-led congressional committee presses Mr. Clinton. That material is expected to play a central part in tough questioning, with testimony slated for Friday making the former president the latest powerful figure to face scrutiny tied to Epstein’s network. The files themselves do not implicate Clinton in any criminal wrongdoing, and no Epstein survivor or associate has made a public allegation of inappropriate behavior by him in connection with Epstein.

Emails and Doug Band: Maxwell’s cultivation of connections, 2002–2004

Emails from Ghislaine Maxwell to Doug Band, Clinton’s top aide, dated between 2002 and 2004 show a warm and flirtatious exchange. The correspondence contains flattering language and sexual innuendo; Band called Maxwell his "social matchmaker" and "lover, " and Maxwell praised his social and physical attributes. Those communications document efforts by Maxwell and Band to set up meetings for the Clinton Global Initiative and to arrange flights for Clinton on Epstein’s private jet.

Flight logs: at least 24 trips and international outings in 2002–2003

Flight records and logs show that Mr. Clinton flew on Epstein’s plane at least 24 times. Separate flight logs establish four international trips in 2002 and 2003 taken by Clinton and his entourage on Epstein’s Boeing 727. One verified itinerary in May 2002 had Clinton depart on an Asia trip on Epstein’s plane, visiting Russia, Singapore, China, Bangkok and Brunei within a three-day span. Clinton’s spokesperson has said those trips included "stops in connection with the work of the Clinton Foundation. " The documents and correspondence together support the former president’s contention that he cut off contact with Epstein before Epstein’s 2006 indictment and before the 2008 guilty plea for soliciting prostitution from a minor.

Donations and White House contacts: money, visits and visitor logs

Campaign and fundraising records present multiple entries tying Epstein to Clinton-era fundraising and philanthropic activities. Records show a 1992 contribution variously listed as $1, 000 in federal election documents and elsewhere as two donations on 30 January and 8 June totaling $2, 000, set against a campaign that raised $62 million overall. Epstein donated $20, 000 on 29 October 1999 to a joint fundraising effort connected to Hillary Clinton’s Senate run, and an Epstein-related foundation gave $25, 000 to the Clinton Foundation in 2006. In September 1993, Mr. Clinton was pictured with Epstein and Maxwell after an event for donors to a White House restoration project; records list Epstein and Maxwell donating $10, 000 to the White House Historical Association the same day. White House visitor logs show Epstein signed in 17 times between 1993 and 1995, and Epstein and Maxwell were photographed at least once with the then-president.

Office meetings, sworn testimony and public statements

After leaving the White House, Mr. Clinton met Epstein in his Harlem office once and made one brief visit to Epstein’s New York apartment with a staff member and security detail, a post by Clinton’s spokesperson Angel Urena stated in 2019. In sworn depositions submitted to the House Oversight Committee in January 2026, Mr. Clinton said Epstein "may very well have attended" White House events and could have been among the "tens of thousands" photographed with him, but that he did not recall encountering Epstein or any specific interaction while in office. Hillary Clinton has stated she did not accompany her husband on trips with Epstein and does not remember meeting him; in a declaration she said she had no responsibility for Department of Justice handling of Epstein and Maxwell matters during her public tenure from 1993 to 2013.

What makes this notable is the documented convergence of Maxwell’s active matchmaking, Band’s role inside Clinton’s circle and the use of Epstein’s resources—photographs, donations and aircraft—that together created repeated points of contact between the former president and Epstein. The unfolding congressional questions will hinge on that web of introductions, travel and fundraising as investigators weigh how those interactions formed over time.
