Metallica Sphere Las Vegas Residency Announced: Tickets, Dates, and Everything to Know About Life Burns Faster
Metallica Sphere

Metallica just made history. The legendary thrash metal band officially confirmed an eight-show Las Vegas Sphere residency on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, becoming the first metal band ever to perform at the $2.3 billion immersive venue. The residency is titled Life Burns Faster and spans four October weekends in 2026.

Metallica Las Vegas Sphere Dates: Four Weekends, Eight Shows

The Metallica Sphere residency runs across four consecutive weekends in October, with shows on the following dates: October 1 and 3, October 15 and 17, October 22 and 24, and October 29 and 31. All eight shows begin at 8:00 PM ET. The final night of the Metallica Las Vegas Sphere run falls on Halloween — October 31 — adding an extra layer of spectacle to what is already one of the most anticipated concert events of the year.

The residency is produced by Live Nation and presented by inKind. Metallica joins an elite group of artists — including U2, Eagles, Dead & Company, Phish, and No Doubt — who have performed at the Sphere in Las Vegas.

No Repeat Weekends: Every Metallica Sphere Show Is Unique

Metallica is bringing its signature No Repeat Weekends format to the Sphere Las Vegas stage. Each Thursday-and-Saturday pair within a single weekend will feature a completely different setlist — meaning no song will be played twice across both nights of the same weekend. Fans who attend both nights of any given weekend get two fully distinct Metallica experiences.

This format was first pioneered by James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo during the M72 World Tour, which drew more than four million fans worldwide since launching in 2023. The Life Burns Faster title itself is drawn from a lyric in the band's iconic track "Master of Puppets," released on the landmark 1986 album of the same name.

The Full House Ticket: See Every Metallica Sphere Show

For the most dedicated fans, Metallica is offering the Full House Ticket — the ultimate all-in pass that grants access to every single Metallica Sphere show across all four October weekends. Formerly known as the "I Disappear" Ticket, the Full House Ticket has been renamed with a nod to Las Vegas culture. Full House Ticket presales are included in the Fan Club Presale beginning Monday, March 2.

The Sphere Las Vegas seats approximately 17,600 and wraps its audience in the world's highest-resolution LED display, paired with immersive 4D technology and unmatched multi-directional audio. For Metallica — a band built on sonic power and visceral live energy — the venue represents entirely uncharted territory and the next evolution of one of rock's greatest live acts.
