Coby White Set to Make Hornets Debut in Hornets Vs Bulls Rematch at United Center

Coby White will make his Charlotte Hornets debut Tuesday in a hornets vs bulls matchup at the United Center, marking his official return to the arena that traded him. The appearance comes as Charlotte pushes toward the play-in picture and Chicago endures a prolonged losing skid.

Hornets Vs Bulls: White returns to United Center

White arrived in Charlotte trade and will be making his official return to the United Center after leaving the Bulls. During warmups before the game, White reflected that he had a feeling his time in Chicago was winding down, saying, "I had a feeling it was... You can read between the lines. It ain't hard in this league and this business to see what's going on. " His last game with the Bulls came on Feb. 3 against the Milwaukee Bucks, when he scored 21 points and played 30 minutes.

Warmups and a teammate’s expectation

White still has not yet played a game for the Hornets, but his former Bulls teammate Tre Jones said during practice that he expected White would push to return even while recovering from a calf injury. "We felt like he was gonna push to come back this game, for sure, " Jones said. "We know what he brings to the table. He can space the floor really well & score at a high level. " With 29 games for Chicago this season, White averaged 18. 6 points and 4. 7 assists.

Standings and stakes as the teams meet

Charlotte sits at 27-31 and has won seven of its last ten games, knocking on the door of the play-in tournament. Chicago is in the midst of a nine-game losing streak, the franchise's first such run in seven years.
