James E. Clark, 97, of Nora Springs, Iowa, went on to his Next Big Adventure on Friday, February 20, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Newton, Iowa, on January 12, 1929, during a blizzard, he was (appropriately) called to his eternal home as snow fell. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1947, earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the Iowa State Normal School (University of Northern Iowa), and later a Master’s Degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Clark taught at many schools throughout Iowa, including a long tenure at Anson Middle School in Marshalltown where he taught Physical Education and coached football and wrestling. He worked to place student teachers as an associate professor at the University of Northern Iowa from 1970–1973 and finished his career as elementary principal at Nora Springs–Rock Falls, retiring in 1997. He spent his career working to improve public education and to allow all children access to free education in Iowa.

James E. Tinnes: Veteran, volunteer and community member

James E. Tinnes, of Waukesha, died on Sunday, February 22, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin on February 4, 1948, the son of Earl and Jane (Camenga) Tinnes. A 1966 graduate of Waukesha High School, he served in the U. S. Army and completed two tours in Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam from 1968–1969.

Tinnes worked for Esser Paint & Glass, the Wisconsin Highway Department, Astro Pattern, Ride Line and retired from Waukesha Metro. He volunteered at Waukesha Memorial Hospital from 2007–2020 and was an active member of D. J. Martin American Legion Post 8, serving in the past as Post Commander and as Commander of the Honor Guard.

Jim Williams: Business owner and family man

James "Jim" Williams, 70, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members on February 22, 2026. Born March 30, 1955 in Indianapolis to the late Robert and Delores "Dee" Williams, he graduated from Plainfield High School in 1973. He was co-owner of Williams Brothers T. V. & Appliance and the Economy Self Storage.

Williams enjoyed wood carving, playing pool and poker, camp fires, dining at Gray's Brothers Cafeteria, and vacationing in Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Williams. Survivors include son Jeff (Megan) Williams; daughters Jennifer (Bill) Gerber and Michelle (Jason) Likens; sister Debbie (Arnie) Gath; brother Rob (Kathy) Williams; grandchildren Dalton, William, Austin, Jaelyn, Joe, Sadie, Ali and Faith; and great-grandchildren Sofia and Annalleyah.
